Created in 2001 by Frederic Monomakhoff, Virage is a software provider specialised in project management. From the start, Virage concentrated on developing a solution to match project manager's needs, thus gaining customer satisfaction. Here is a short history showing key dates and displaying company values.

2001- 2004 : Virage Consulting, implementation experts

The company started as Virage Consulting. The founder, Frederic Monomakhoff is an expert in project management. He advises customers with significant operational involvement and with real and appreciated results.

Frederic soon realises that there is no recognised solution for easy management of projects. Existing solutions are either complex (and expensive…), or they are oriented towards user collaboration rather than effective management. Virage starts an ambitious program to develop project management software, which will win the award “Jeune Entreprise Innovante”, and a grant from "OSEO", an organisation that funds the research programme.

2004 : Launch of PM software

After an initial pilot run confirmed the relevance and quality of its software, Virage launches its project management solution "Project Monitor". The first clients unanimously recognise the ease of use, and the powerful functional capabilities.

2005 : Launch of ASP/Saas offer

Virage Consulting sets up a ASP:SaaS platform to facilitate Project Monitor implementation. Clients without a technical infrastructure can now use Project Monitor. Some clients use the application to manage one large project, others for a technical deployment support as in Bouygues Télécom.

2006 : VIRAGE Consulting becomes VIRAGE Group

To emphasise its exclusive position in the project management field, Virage Consulting becomes Virage Group. Consulting becomes a marginal activity but Virage maintains strong links with its clients and helps many of them to implement Project Monitor. New clients come from different sectors of activity (service companies, industry, printing) and give proof of the solutions flexibility. Project Monitor is adaptable to any client or activity.

2007 : Project Monitorgoes international

Project Monitor has clients in North Africa (Morocco). Virage develops a capacity to respond in an international environment, and speak new languages !

In the meantime in France, Project Monitor gains ground in public administrations and health organisations.

2008 : Project Monitor Version 4

Version 4 of Project Monitor is released. The application usability was fully revised to profit from web 2.0 and Ajax technologies. Exploration of the project database, updating interface, drag and drop, flexible interface: all are functionalities designed to facilitate the user interface. The application is even easier to use : clients unanimously adopt this new version.

2009 : Project Monitor strengthens its intégration to System Information
