Product Owner
Product Owners are directly involved in all actions required to design product evolutions and guarantee product quality. Tasks include leading the scoping and discovery phases (Story mapping, Personas), steering and prioritizing the backlog in consultation with the Product Manager, drawing up functional specifications broken down into User Stories, and optimizing the user experience (UX) at the heart of the product.
A typical week
During the week, a variety of activities are carried out to ensure user satisfaction with the solutions provided:
- Leading design meetings
- Definition of user paths (UX design)
- Development of mock-ups (UI Design), prototypes and functional specifications
- Participation in acceptance testing to guarantee application quality
- Analyze user feedback to improve the product
What are the key skills required?
- Master Agile methods
- Master Web tool specification
- Master Web application layout (UI)
- Good knowledge of computer programming technologies (Java, HTML, CSS...) in order to communicate effectively with the technical team.
- Be proactive, agile and able to move forward by iteration
- A willingness to understand users' needs and support them right up to the point of using the tools
The product team integration program
After a phase of discovery and training in the solutions published by Virage, the employee is sponsored by an experienced member. They are then integrated into a team dedicated to a specific product and functional scope. He or she will then work closely with the development team.
