What do you mean by project portfolio review?
General project reviews are by far the most common practice. This is hardly surprising, as it Project Monitor provides a comprehensive overview of projects. More targeted project review themes :
- Strategic Projects
- Finances or Budgets
- Capabilities / Resources
Who are the project stakeholders involved in the project reviews?
This is a more surprising result for two reasons. Not all project players take part. It's mainly the managers of project leaders and those who are explicitly called in who make up the ranks of your project reviews. You therefore target the players most likely to optimize these meetings, which are "costly" because of the profiles involved. Secondly, the Project Manager Officer function is not systematically represented. Is Project Monitor a self-moderating system? Or is it more likely that the key PMO function is performed by the managers of the project managers?
Where can you follow your project review?
Project review participants are usually in the same meeting room. When project teams are not all in the same place, some participants follow their review remotely (conference call) and by screen sharing. The application's collaborative functions and web mode facilitate this remote mode.
When should project reviews be held?

The average number of projects reviewed was 34. This average positions challenges well: spending enough time per project and being able to see all the projects on the agenda. If the meeting lasts a maximum of 2 hours, that's a "time credit" per project of less than 4 minutes.
