Job description

Virage publishes and integrates project portfolio and action plan management software.

As a sales engineer, you'll be the first point of contact for our future customers, and an ambassador for Virage and its values.

You are in direct contact with high-level contacts (CIO, General Manager, Program and Project Manager, PMO, ...).

Reporting to sales management, you will work closely with pre-sales engineers. But also with other teams: Marketing, Service, Technical, Product, etc.

As a key player in the sales process, your day-to-day responsibilities will include :

Track sales opportunities throughout their life cycle: from qualification to negotiation and closing
Present the Virage offer remotely or on site (France and, exceptionally, abroad), in French and English.
Interact internally with the various teams to draft the functional/technical proposal best suited to your customers' needs
Plan and organize your activity to achieve your objectives
Define the commercial strategy (and mature your ideas) on your sectors: you can count on the marketing team to help you
Contribute your knowledge of needs and the market to the solutions roadmap

Profile required

Your journey

You are a graduate of an engineering school (or equivalent) or ESC with solid technical skills and experience (SSII or publisher type).

You have sales experience (over 5 years) with skills in deploying business solutions.

Your interests and qualities

You like talking challenges with Directors, Managers, Project Managers, etc. and you're willing to listen to them: that's 80% of the job!
You're inquisitive: you're able to find the key decision-making factors that will "hit the bull's-eye" with your contacts.
Your interpersonal skills enable you to easily build relationships with your contacts
You're known for presentations that "hook" your audience: your dynamism and ability to explain things in layman's terms are well recognized!
For you, it's all in the detail: your written or oral answers are "crystal-clear" for all your contacts.
Tenacious, rigorous: these are 2 adjectives that are readily attributed to you.
You have good organizational skills (managing multiple tasks in parallel) and are methodical.
You are dynamic, enthusiastic, reactive and even proactive.
You have a level of professional English that enables you to lead meetings and write offers in English.

You have successful experience (2 years or more) with a software publisher.
You have a good command of IT tools (CRM, Office Suite, collaborative tools).

How did you get started at VIRAGE ?

I joined Virage in September 2016 as a pre-sales assistant. I was in Canada and wanted to come back to France. I applied for an offer that corresponded in every way to what I wanted: a company on a human scale, based in Nantes, and the solution appealed to me. I was made to feel very welcome: the team is friendly, and you feel like you're part of a small family. No stress and lots of responsibility! I moved on to become Sales Manager at Virage Group . I'm responsible for defining and overseeing the sales strategy to ensure the growth and deployment of the customer base.
